  • A DVD library with titles for all ages, as well as an extensive kids’ book collection and a range of books for adults

For the warmer months, air-conditioning is available in the kitchen /meals / dining / games area at an cost of $10/night.

Wi-fi internet is also available at an extra cost of $10/night on a sliding scale down to $30/week.  Reception is by satellite, so can be intermittent in cloudy weather, but it’s the best internet one can get out here in the countryside …

There is an $95 cleaning fee, regardless of the length of stay.  You are welcome to bring your own linen, otherwise the cost is $30/person.

With this level of facilities at these low prices, availability is limited and subject to change, so be quick.

I stayed at Galwiji homestead on two different occasions within a gap of one week. I can call this home away from home. So serene and calm, so neat and well maintained. I appreciate their care for fine details-be it in the kitchen, the beds, the baths or the fire place. It’s a perfect holiday homestead to relax and regain your energy. Go for it!

  • Very spacious, great for three families to stay together – facilities were great.

  • The owners live close by so it was especially thoughtful that they had a fire going for us (it was cold!) and had left lights on (given we arrived in the dark). The number of bedrooms (5) was great. The house was very suitable for a young family overall.
