Previously a permanent home to sheep and cattle, Galwiji Homestead now provides a substantial plantation of sugar gums with periodic visits from farm animals.
A lovely large home with all the facilities available, eg. kitchen, games, walks etc. Close to all major attractions. Ideal for large family or small groups. Lovely, restful, peaceful time.
Ten out of ten for facilities, service, and value for money. We loved the relaxing atmosphere in the house with all its provisions. It’s perfect!
We have beds for 12 (5 separate rooms with additional sleeping in the games room). Full details of sleeping options are here. It’s a big, private homestead with plenty of space.
We appreciated the friendly welcome and the games room was great. The spaciousness of the house and 3 bathrooms were excellent for 12 guests.
The best part of our stay was being with family in an environment that was almost like being at home. We loved the fireplace and sitting around and feeling relaxed. I can’t think of anything that could have made it better.

Here’s what some of our previous guests had to say:
Your house is amazing and we had a fantastic time. I even had some spare to time to complete a puzzle! The best part of our stay was the way we were greeted on arrival and the facilities.
Galwiji Homestead was very appropriate for our big group, comfortable, warm and most of all, ‘farmlike’. The homestead facilities and service in particular were great.
10 out of 10 for the overall experience. The best part was having games and walks to entertain everyone.
I stayed at Galwiji homestead on two different occasions within a gap of one week. I can call this home away from home. So serene and calm, so neat and well maintained. I appreciate their care for fine details-be it in the kitchen, the beds, the baths or the fire place. It’s a perfect holiday homestead to relax and regain your energy. Go for it!
We all had a wonderful stay and we will all have many lovely memories staying here. A fantastic place for friends to have a wonderful weekend including sharing dinner and a games night.
It was great for all the family to be able to stay together. We enjoyed the quietness and space in our home away from home. We can’t think of anything that could have made the experience better for us.
Everything is here that we need and plenty of room for all. It’s nice and clean and open, and nice and quiet and peaceful.
Had a great time. Loved the house and the property and the visit to the dairy farm was a great success. We were made to feel most welcome. My Youth Group have asked if we can visit again next year as they loved it so much.
Loved being able to sit and relax on the porch. We enjoyed watching the birds, and the sheep coming home.
Enjoyed the peacefulness and serenity, the service provided and the beautiful setting.
10 out of 10 for everything. We really enjoyed the visit to see the cows milking on a dairy farm. Everything was perfect. Well done.
We loved being able to spend the whole day here with plenty for everyone to explore (across kids aged 4 to 8). It had an incredibly-well stocked kitchen with everything we needed on hand to make meals.
Only good things to say about our stay here. The Pryors’ place is exactly as it’s described – a real farm homestead. Surrounded by nature, the house is also spacious inside, the place can accommodate large families or group.
Everything about this property and the owners is fantastic! The house was a great set up with everything we needed and more. The kids loved being outside on the play equipment or in the large games room. The beds were really comfortable. We loved the peacefull atmosphere.
The owners live close by so it was especially thoughtful that they had a fire going for us (it was cold!) and had left lights on (given we arrived in the dark). The number of bedrooms (5) was great. The house was very suitable for a young family overall.
Glorious weather allowed students to explore outside. The big room was ideal for rehearsals. The beds were warm and comfy.
